Iron Rail
Run along the roof of a moving train: stoke coal at the front to keep it going, and beat raiders off the back. One rule holds it together — you cannot work a car an enemy is standing on.
Play it here
Press the button and it runs inside this page. Nothing is downloaded until you do, so reading and leaving costs you nothing. No install, no sign-in.
Who it is for
People who like being forced to choose what to give up
What it does
- One rule: an occupied car cannot be worked. Going forward to stoke leaves the back open, and going back costs you speed
- Score is distance travelled plus the chains you banked
- Two inputs only — left/right and one button
- Zero external assets: pixel sprites and sound effects are generated in code
- Rendered at 320×180 and scaled up
Where it is going
The two-input limit stays. Adding buttons would dilute the pressure the one rule creates.
What it needs now is somebody playing it for real so the balance can be set from feel rather than from numbers, and after that a daily leaderboard.
